Padre Azul is the passion project of co-founder HP Eder. Eder fell in love with Mexican culture after meeting Adrian Alvarez Maxemin, a woman from Guadalajara who was studying German at a university in Heidelberg. Eder inherited a passion for distillation from his father, and his family is known for the production of high-quality Vogelbeerschnaps, a special Austrian liquor. Padre Azul was launched in 2016 by Eder and his compadres from Austria who saw a need for high-quality tequila in Europe, Eder's Mexican father-in-law playing a crucial role in the birth of the brand. The European tequila explorers set about on their quest for the perfect taste, finally discovering it at a small distillery in Amatitn, nearby the famous village of Tequila. The Austrian-Mexican brand Padre Azul premium tequila is purely handmade, with every step of production meticulously carried out by the Master Distiller Jesus Partida Melendez. The tequila is produced at the renowned Tres Mujeres distillery in Jalisco within the central Mexican Highlands. Padre Azul tequilas are distilled from only the finest blue weber agave of the Amatitn, Lowlands, Jalisco, Mexico. Consisting of Blue Weber Agave species, they produce some of the highest quality tequila. The agave is matured for eight years before it is harvested. The pias are smoked in traditional old brick kilns at a low temperature, preventing the sugars that are released from being burned, giving the tequila a mellow aftertaste. After the pias are smoked special yeasts are used for fermentation. After distillation, Master Distiller Jesus Partida Melendez hand selects only the highest quality barrels to be bottled. Padre Azul Aejo is matured in oak barrels for at least eighteen months, the result is a full-bodied tequila, with a softer, milder flavor. The Patrn Spirits Company was launched in 1989 by John Paul DeJoira and Martin Crowley. With its inception, came the world's first ultra-premium Tequila. The agaves are then crushed by a two-ton volcanic stone Tahona, a centuries-old tradition that breaks down the fibers. The freshly milled desert succulents are slow-roasted in a brick oven for 79 hours, before being fermented in wooden vats. The agave juice is distilled in small batches through handmade copper stills with the agave fibers to produce an earthy flavor. Named after the Spanish word for 'stone, this Gran Patron Aejo Piedra is produced using traditional artisanal methods. The tequila is aged in a combination of French Limousin and new American oak barrels for four years before being bottled in elegant crystal.

Before Mi CAMPO is bottled, it rests in the same French oak used for aging wine, made by expert coopers who craft their prodigious barrels for Napa Valley winemakers. The Blue Weber agave are matured for 7-years, and 100% sourced in Jalisco, Mxico, the Pias are steamed-cooked in stone ovens for up to 38 hours and naturally fermented using open-air tanks, which allow aromatics from nearby citrus trees to fuse with the tequila. Corazon Tequila is part of theGemini Spirits & Wine Company, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary ofSazerac. Corazon Tequila utilizes ex-bourbon barrels from some of the most in-demand whiskey to explore the relationship between aged tequila and the whiskey that was initially used in that barrel. In May 2010, expert jimadors from the Corazon Distillery began harvesting agave from the rolling hillsides of Arandas, which is situated in the Jalisco region of Mexico. Rather than clear-cutting the fields from the outset, the jimadors employed scientific tools in order to analyze the precise sugar content of the 80 tons of agave plants in Arandas. Once the sugar content had been determined, the jimadors combined agave with a low sugar content (a low sugar content will produce a tequila with a drier, more mineral flavor profile) together with agave with a high sugar content (a high sugar content will produce a tequila with a sweeter and bolder flavor profile) in order to produce a unique blanco tequila. Once the tequila had been produced, it was fractionated and matured in three unique types of casks: casks that had been previously used to mature Buffalo Trace Bourbon, casks that had previously been used to mature George T. Stagg Bourbon and casks that had previously been used to mature Sazerac Rye. The collection,Expresiones del Corazon, is comprised of five releases:Buffalo Trace Reposado, George T. Stagg Anejo, Sazerac Rye Anejo, Old Rip Van Winkle Anejo, and Corazon Artisanal Edition Blanco. This Corazon Anejo Tequila aged 19 months in Thomas H. Don Julio was founded in 1942, by Don Julio Gonzlez-Frausto Estrada, who began distilling tequila at age 17.
