This special Laphroaig is created from carefully selected casks of each of our key styles, stretching back in time with one notable addition. The heart of the spirit is drawn froma final maturation in new American Oak casks, rarely used for Scotch whisky maturation.

For the last six months maturation takes place in the highest, warmest reaches of ourwarehouses during the Scottish summer.

With spirit selected by our master distiller from Quarter Cask, our PX Cask and Triple Wood (European Oak casks) and a final addition of 10YO, it represents a subtle blending of peat,oak and sweetness.

Clynelish whisky is closer to an Island style than other mainland malts, with a complex and fragrant nose and an agreeable, long finish that leaves a lingering fresh-fruity flavour. This 14-year-old is a less heavyweight whisky that's deliciously drinkable and makes it an excellent aperitif.

TASTING NOTES

APPEARANCE: Yellow gold.

BODY: Firm, light to medium.

NOSE: Wax comes up with water – scented candle wax. Dried flowers on a beach. Later, brown sugar.

PALATE: Pleasant creamy mouthfeel; maritime generally.

FINISH: Some salt, dryish yet an attractive, even slightly bitter finish.

To create The Balvenie PortWood Aged 21 Years, a marriage of rare Balvenie is transferred to port casks, or pipes, which have held fine port wines. Here it is sampled regularly by The Balvenie Malt Master to ensure that just the right amount of character is imparted by the port casks, enhancing and developing the single malt whilst preserving its original characteristics. In duty free The Balvenie PortWood Aged 21 Years is non chill-filtered and bottled at a higher strength of 47.6% abv.

TASTING NOTES
Nose: A perfume of fruity and ripe raisin notes, backed by a nutty dryness
Taste: Refined with remarkable character, it is creamy and silky with fruit, honey and spice notes.
Finish: Long, gentle, nutty.

The Balvenie Thirty is a rare and especially fine single malt for which David Stewart selects only exceptional casks that were laid down over thirty years ago. By marrying The Balvenie slowly aged in traditional oak whisky casks with that aged in European oak sherry casks, David creates a rich, mellow Scotch whisky with unusual depth and complexity. Thirty is bottled at 47.3% abv to capture all the signature characteristics of The Balvenie.

Enjoy the following cocktail recipe:

2 slices Granny Smith or Fuji apple
45 ml Knob Creek Bourbon
60 ml draft cider
20 ml agave nectar
10 grates cinnamon
Ice

In a mixing glass, muddle I slice of apple and cover with the other ingredients (save the other slice of apple for garnish). Fill with ice and shake well for 10 seconds. Strain over fresh ice in a tall glass (allowing some of the apple chunks through) and garnish with an apple slice

The Macallan No.6 has been created exclusively from first fill European Oak sherry-seasoned casks, that were made in a single cooperage - Tevasa - in the Jerez region of Southern Spain. The resulting whisky is of classic The Macallan character, with a rich dark walnut color and sumptuous combination of richness, spice and dried fruits. It is encased in a statuesque Lalique decanter made from the finest crystal.
