The Irishman 12 Year Old Single Malt is a rare and refined expression created by Walsh Whiskey in County Carlow. First released in 2013, this triple distilled single malt is matured entirely in first-fill bourbon barrels to highlight the elegance and purity of traditional Irish craftsmanship. Only limited quantities are produced each year, reflecting the dedication behind its creation.

Craftsmanship

Founded in 1999 by Bernard and Rosemary Walsh, Walsh Whiskey helped revive Carlow’s distilling heritage after nearly two centuries. After initially contracting production, the family opened their own distillery in 2016, becoming the only independent Irish producer making pot still, malt, and grain whiskey at a single location.
The Irishman 12 Year Old is crafted from triple distilled single malt, then aged for a full twelve years in first-fill bourbon casks to enhance depth and complexity while maintaining its elegant Irish character.

This limited release earned Gold and Best in Class at the International Spirits Challenge in 2013, recognized for its refined texture, spice, and vibrant malt profile.
