A Bold Galilean Blend from the Northern Hills – Or Haganuz “Elima” 2019
Tasting Experience
The Or Haganuz Elima 2019 combines 75% Cabernet Sauvignon with 25% Cabernet Franc, yielding a wine of deep ruby‑garnet color. The nose features lush red and black fruit—plum, blackberry—alongside tobacco leaf, vanilla, and spicy clove from barrel aging. On the palate, medium-bodied structure meets elegant dark fruit layered with herbs, forest floor, and a touch of oak spice. The finish is long, with lingering dried herb notes and soft tannins that give it a refined, lingering elegance.
Craftsmanship
Produced in Israel’s Upper Galilee region near Mount Meron, this wine is fermented slowly at cool temperatures to preserve freshness and aromatic purity. After fermentation, it is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels to build complexity. The wine is made with no added sulfites and is vegan-certified, reflecting the winery’s naturalistic approach to production.
Best Enjoyed
Serve at cellar temperature (~60–65°F) in a Bordeaux-style glass. Pair with hearty dishes like grilled lamb, aged cheeses, mushroom-based fare, or roasted meats. It also enjoys time in the decanter to allow its herbal and fruit layers to open fully.
Experience the structured elegance, balanced intensity, and terroir-driven character of Or Haganuz Elima 2019 on Royal Batch – a distinctive expression from Israel’s historic wine country.
