Tasting Experience
Appearance: Crystal clear and bright — classic joven style, unaged and transparent.
Nose: Fresh agave, bright citrus peel, green apple, herbal notes with eucalyptus or mineral undertones, plus a subtle smoky and earthy whiff.
Palate: Clean and vegetal, with cooked agave sweetness, light smoke, hints of pepper, lime zest or citrus, and delicate herbal-mineral complexity.

Craftsmanship
Ilegal Joven is crafted from 100% hand-harvested Espadín agave, roasted in traditional earthen-pit ovens and distilled twice in small copper or stainless steel stills in Oaxaca’s Santiago Matatlán region. This un-aged mezcal remains additive-free and stays true to the roots of mezcal production — smoke and agave flavor up front, without oak or sweeteners to mask its character.
