El Tesoro de Don Felipe tequila honors Don Felipe Camarena, the man who established La Altea Distillery in 1937, where El Tesoro continues to be distilled today. El Tesoro tequila is the treasure of Jalisco, created in celebration of Don Felipe's most precious asset: his agaves.
El Tesoro Extra Aejo is rested in ex-bourbon barrels by Carlos's father, Don Felipe J. Camarena Orozco and aged 4-5 years, El Tesoro Extra Aejo is a unique treasure with outstanding flavors. The taste is smooth and very well-balanced. Coffee and dark chocolate are present, followed by dry fruits and roasted almonds. The finish brings forward a hint of pepper with an oak flavor.
