Situated on the north coast of Islay, facing the island of Jura less than 1/2 mile away on the other side of the Sound of Islay, Port Askaig is a small town. Created by London-based Specialty Drinks, the company began selecting casks from some of the largest and most reputable single malt distilleries on the island and producing a series of independent single malt bottlings. With a signature robust smokiness and soft fruit, this Port Askaig range was created to entice even to the most zealous and discerning of Whisky connoisseurs while also appealing to the novice Whisky drinker. As the youngest age-statement release in the Port Askaig range, this bold eight-year-old Askaig isnt shy about its peat. You can expect young fresh notes of maritime sweet vanilla and citrus. 

Penderyn is the first Welsh distillery in over a century. Launched March 1, 2004, the distillery is nestled in a small village in a mountain range in South Wales named Brecon Beacons. Home to Forest Fawr Geopark a UNESCO site. Penderyn has garnered much critical acclaim since its inception; their unique small batch methods yield only one barrel of this Welsh whisky per day. Initially matured in hand-selected bourbon barrels, the whisky is finished in Madeira barriques. This Madeira finish flagship is the cornerstone of the Penderyn lineup. Welsh Gold is extremely rare, pure and precious and was worn by legendary Welsh princes. The Penderyn Gold Collection is an embodiment of these qualities. Produced using a bespoke pot still made by Dr. David Faraday. This maturation technique creates a deeply complex spirit, with a well-rounded, highly nuanced flavor profile that earned Gold Medals at the 2012 and 2013 International Whisky Competitions, a gold medal at the 2017 Whisky Masters, and The Chairman's Trophy 95/100 at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge 2015.

In the late 1950s, the Medley Distillery began producing a bourbon named Ezra Brooks in Owensboro, Kentucky. The distillery, which was founded in 1901, traced its origins back to the birth of Kentucky bourbon; while Reverend Elijah Craig is usually credited with producing the first bourbon whiskey at his mill in Lebanon in 1789, the Medley family began distilling whiskey at the same time in the adjacent county in Kentucky. In fact, except during the thirteen years during which distillation was outlawed in the United States, a member of the Medley family has been operating a distillery continuously since 1812. Today, Ezra Brooks Straight Rye Whiskey continues to be handcrafted in the heart of Kentucky. Bottled and aged in the old fashioned way for an unmistakable, unforgettable mellow flavor. This bourbon liqueur has sweet floral notes with undertones of vanilla, cinnamon, and fine wood. The palate is subtle, with notes of vanilla, floral tones and a warm, lengthy, buttery finish. 

The original recipe for Rebel Yell dates back to 1849 when it was invented at what would later become the Stitzel-Weller Distillery. Although many famous bourbons were produced at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery (including Pappy Van Winkle), most shared one unique characteristic pioneered by William Laurel Weller himself instead of rye, the bourbons used wheat as a secondary grain in their mashbill, lending a softer, smoother flavor to the whiskey. In 1936, nearly a century after the original recipe was developed, former Louisville Mayor Charles F. Farnsley officially registered the Rebel Yell brand, distilling the bourbon in limited batches for exclusive distribution in the southern United States. This practice lasted all the way into the 1980s when the Stitzel-Weller Distillery was disbanded, and Rebel Yell found its way into the hands of LUXCO Spirited Brands. Now, more than 150 years later, Rebel Yell is bridging the gap between its proud heritage and modern tastes and is available nationwide for the first time in its history. Rebel Yell Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is handcrafted according to the original, time-honored Rebel Yell recipe developed in 1849. Bottled at 100 proof, this single barrel is the original Rebel Yell wheated Bourbon recipe, aged in charred oak barrels for a decade, yielding a distinctive flavor profile in each batch.

Corner Creek Reserve Bourbon Whiskey is produced using a selection of the distillery's finest barrels, smoothed to perfection with pure ingredients and in the tradition of the most beautiful Kentucky spirits. Using only the finest wheat, rye and corn and age Corner Creek Reserve Bourbon Whiskey is aged in new American oak. They produce their whiskey in minimal quantities to ensure the purest quality. The label, an original drawing of Corner Creek by noted artist William Nagle, brings back the good, relaxed feeling of sitting by the old creek, listening to the rushing water while sipping on fine bourbon whiskey. Corner Creek is only lightly filtered to maintain all of it's complex flavor (producer).

The 2021 release of Bomberger’s is a robust Kentucky Straight Bourbon at 108 proof with a broad spectrum of distinctively rich characters. For the aging of this release, our maturation team chose special barrels, some of which were made from Chinquapin (Quercus muehlenbergii) oak that has been naturally air dried for over 3 years. While similar barrels were used in the 2019 and 2020 releases of Bomberger’s, this year our production team opted to accentuate rich characters and depth by adjusting the char levels of the Chinquapin oak barrels thereby resulting in a wonderfully distinctive Kentucky straight bourbon.

Tasting Notes

APPEARANCE: Rich, mahogany brown

NOSE: Toast and buttery caramel with some plum

PALATE: Full throttle yet remarkably smooth with some burnt sugar and a bit of both milk chocolate and dark chocolate

Gordon's Gin is one of the most renowned gin brands in the world. Founded in 1769 by Alexander Gordon, the facility's production eventually moved to Clerkenwell in 1786 before expanding its global reach throughout the 1800's, winning the hearts of many. The surge in demand for gin served as the basis for the brand's incredible success. The famous British distillery is now based on the Laindon site in Basildon, Essex, relocating to meet the high demands of production. The facility still houses a historic copper still that dates back over 200 years, named Old Tom. This pink gin is inspired by an original Gordon's recipe from thelate 19th century. The fresh taste of Gordon's complements the natural tangy sweetness of raspberries and strawberries.

It all begins with Kentucky Rye, providing a firm foundation of spice, oak, dried fruit and subtle molasses undertones for this release to build upon. From there, Canadian Rye from our award-winning Alberta Distillery is skillfully layered in. A touch of California Port, and its complementary notes of ripe fruit, provides the third and final layer to a whiskey just as at home on the rocks as it is in a cocktail.

Asbach Uralt is a German brandy produced by the Asbach GmbH. It's history dates back to the late 19th century when Hugo Asbach founded the company in the town of Rdesheim am Rhein, at 24 years old. A Cologne native, Hugo gained knowledge for the industry from a local Export-Company for German Cognac.

Established in 1948, Douglas Laing & Co is an Independent Scotch bottler. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, the company produces a number of brands including their Remarkable Regional Malts range, featuring expressions like The Epicurean, Scallywag, Rock Oyster and Big Peat, and Timorous Beastie, among several others. The family-owned business specializes in artisan, Small Batch, and Single Cask bottlings. The original Timorous Beastie is referenced in Scotsman Robert Burns famous poemTo aMouse. Named after the timid mouse, this Timorous Beastie is anything but. The embodiment of the Highland single malt, this whisky is a marriage of the region's finest Malts including Dalmore, Glengoyne, and Glen Garioch. Non-chill-filtered and bottled at 46.8% abv, this whisky is a viscose spirit, rich in character, with an incredible mouth-feel.

In 1828, Springbank Distillery was founded on the site of Archibald Mitchell's illicit still in Campbeltown. (Today, Mitchell's great-great-great-grandson owns the distillery.) Within ten years, its whisky was so well-regarded that a blender by the name of John Walker purchased 118 gallons of whisky from Springbank at 43 pence a gallon. By the turn of the century as worldwide demand for Scotch whisky seemed insatiable distilleries throughout Scotland began cutting corners and outsourcing parts of the distillation process. Springbank Distillery, however, remained true to its Scottish heritage and today, remains one of only two distilleries in Scotland to perform every step of the whisky making process from malting barley to bottling whisky on the same premises. After malting and lightly peating the barley (using locally cut peat), the distillers at Springbank mill and mash it in cast-iron mash tuns that are nearly a century old. The pure spring water used during the mashing process is sourced from Crosshill Loch, which in turn is fed by springs seeping from the northern slopes of 1,100-foot tall Beinn Ghuilean. After mashing the grains, the wash is slowly fermented over the course of 70 hours one of the longest fermentation processes in Scotland before being distilled. Because some of the wash is distilled twice and some is distilled three times, Springbank Whisky is said to be distilled two and a half times. Following distillation, the whisky is aged in used bourbon casks. Since Campbeltown is located on a narrow peninsula, the strong, perennial sea winds, warmed by the gulf stream, add a slight hint of saltiness to the whisky as it ages. A composition of bourbon and sherry casks, this whisky's extremely rich character earned it a Gold medal at the World Whiskies Awards in 2014.

Aftertaste: A slightly sweet and long lasting finish to savour until your next sip.

This wonderful bourbon is bottled as close to barrel proof as possible. We add just a splash of our Kentucky limestone well-water when we empty the barrels for bottling. Thus, this whiskey is as smooth as any you will find.

See a rich, copper color. Smell enticingly sweet, spicy, caramel-nut-fudge aromas. Enjoy a fruity, medium-to full-bodied palate with intense dried fruit and toasted nuts notes. Each sip finishes with a very long, bold wave of peppery brown spices, floral honey and charred barrel flavors that balance the weight of the alcohol. It’s a big, bold, aged bourbon that has great balance for its high proof and flavor.

Amor Mio was founded in 1996 in the Jalisco Highlands their estate spirits are all aged and bottled on site. Tequila Tres Mujers combines the best traditional methods with modern safety and purity standards.    Amore Mio crafts a full line of premium blanco, rested, aged, and ultra aged tequilas as well as a limited edition. Their label has received countless awards.   Amor Mio Extra Añejo Tequila is an “extra añejo,”meaning it was matured for at least three years. Aged for a full four years in French oak this tequila is distilled from 100% Blue Agave. 

In 1895, Masataka Taketsuru the father of Japanese Whisky was born in the small town of Takehara, Japan. At the time, Masataka's family owned a sake brewery, and in preparing to carry on the family trade, Masataka studied chemistry and biology at Osaka Technical High School. Upon matriculation, however, Masataka showed more interest in whisky than in sake and in 1918, enrolled at the University of Glasgow, becoming the first Japanese ever to study the art of whisky-making. While in Scotland, Masataka took chemistry courses during the day while apprenticing with distilleries at night, learning to distill and blend whisky first-hand at some of Scotland's most prestigious distilleries. In 1920, Masataka returned to Japan, and within the decade, had produced the country's first single malt whisky. Deeming the terroir perfect for whisky production, Masataka moved to the town of Yoichi in 1934 and opened the doors to Nikka Whisky Co. Yoichi is encapsulated by mountains (to the east, south and west) and by the Sea of Japan (to the north), creating a unique and isolated environment for whisky-production. The clean air, humidity and access to underground water filtered through a layer of peat results in a rich and masculine malt. Years later, Masataka established the Miyagikyo Distillery, which is also situated in northern Japan. Surrounded by mountains and two rivers, the Miyagikyo Distillery produces a more mild and feminine whisky as compared to Yoichi. This Yoichi single malt is full of pleasant peaty notes and smokiness, resulting from the traditional direct coal-fired distillation. The whisky also has subtle briny notes imparted onto the spirit by the sea breeze during the aging process.

This Greek drink is specially made by distilling only the "tears," or droplets of resin, of the treasured mastic tree, also known as Pistacia lentiscus var. Chia. This unique tree has been highly valued for centuries. The mastic tears yield a dry, elegant, bold, aromatic spirit. The mastic distillate is notorious for its bountiful health benefits, even treasured by the ancient Romans, who used to use Mastiha to give their wines fragrance. Mastic Tears is perfect for cocktails but can also be enjoyed neat, chilled, and as a digestif. Enjoy well chilled as a shot, in cocktails or as an after dinner digestif. This sweet and refreshing spirit earned a Gold medal at the 2017 Berlin International Spirits Competition.
