Jean-Michel Basquiat is a cultural icon and prolific artist who became a defining force in the New York City art scene in the 1980s. He has created a global legacy through his iconic style and the social commentary behind his work which has greatly influenced modern and contemporary art. Drawing inspiration from Jean Michel Basquiat’s time in Los Angeles, the Special Edition bottle features his Untitled (L.A Painting), a masterpiece influenced by the surrounding remote environment of Venice Beach where Basquiat found security and solitude away from the distractions in New York. Bottled straight from the cask, without adding water to reduce alcohol content, delivers the extraordinary depth, complexity and balance of flavours that’s now the established hallmark of our Cask Strength series. Release No. 3 is no exception.

This third release has been created using an expertly balanced combination of three cask types – first-fill sherry seasoned American and European oak casks and a smaller quantity of refill casks for balance and depth. Using a higher proportion of Orkney peated malt, our Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion, has achieved an intensely smoky character, coming through first on the nose with aromas of smouldering peat and lightly charred oak, balanced by honey-glazed lemons and crushed aniseed.

Discover what best suits your palate by experimenting with the amount of water you add as you release this whisky’s distinctive notes of ripe mango, cloudy heather honey and whipped vanilla cream with a hint of aromatic violet. Pink grapefruit zest, freshly-baked sponge cake and a final gust of heathery peat smoke provide a long and distinctive finish.

We’ve been crafting our award-winning whisky at the Highland Park Distillery in Kirkwall, Orkney, since 1798. Age, experience and respect for tradition may define our whisky, but it’s Orkney that sets it apart. Something magic happens here and the result is the wild harmony of flavours found in our whisky.

Visually: Pristine and luminescent with generous legs and tears. Mercurial when swirled in a glass to release its bouquet.

Aroma: Enticing lime zest blooms into grapefruit and lemongrass. Slight anise with deep baked agave caresses the center and bottom of the vessel. Loads of character the longer it blooms in your glass or snifter.

Body: Silky and luxurious.

Taste: Sweet baked agave evolves into full peppercorn. Hints of anise and licorice are followed by an enduring finish.  

Serving Suggestion: Pātsch Blanco is a superb sipper. Serve neat as an aperitif or on the rocks with a splash of soda and lime peel.

The Busker Single Malt is a delightful discovery, an intense journey into the realm of taste. The whiskey is distilled in large copper stills, then matured in two different woods to bring you a complexity that is waiting to be experienced. The Busker Single Malt is a deep golden whiskey. It begins with an arrangement of fruit, which gently leaves space to an explosion of pine essence and malt biscuit. The palate is very intense, with rich, chocolate notes. The whiskey concludes with a sweet and creamy finish.

The secret to our Single Grain is in choosing the highest quality spirits and maturing them in our hand selected Bourbon casks from USA and rare Marsala cask from one of the oldest Sicilian wineries – Cantine Florio 1833. The Busker Single Grain is a light, pale straw colored whiskey. The taste begins by offering sweet caramel and moving to soft vanilla and oak notes. Hennessy Black Cognac is the highly versatile, decidedly different new cognac from the world’s leading cognac house. Distinctively smooth with a fresher, lighter flavor, it is a blend of 35 to 45 unique pale and gold colored eaux-de-vie selected for their elegant floral characteristics. They are then aged in French Limousin oak casks which have been previously used at Hennessy for a more “gentle” maturation, and an elegant wood influence. Hennessy Black offers an exciting alternative to vodka and tequila, and can be enjoyed on its own or mixed.

Our Vodka is distilled from a special mash comprised mainly of California white wheat. This Vodka is only distilled to 170 proof leaving the taste of the grain in the spirit. The white wheat gives this vodka a unique grain forward flavor profile, offering it the perfect finish ideal for a martini.
