Bushmills 28 Year Old Single Malt Cognac Cask is the result of over 400 years of whiskey-making experience. This extremely rare, small quantity whiskey is rested in hand-selected ex-bourbon and sherry barrels for 11 years, & finally finished in Cognac casks for 17 years.
TASTING NOTES
Expertly crafted by Master Blender Helen Mulholland. On the nose, this whiskey introduces itself with an aroma of sweet, spicy wood. On the palate, deep, nuanced flavors of dried fruit intersperse with hints of almond and cinnamon.
Distilled in 1992, this Irish single malt was initially matured in hand-selected bourbon barrels for more than 10 years before being re-casked in 2004 to be finished in PX sherry casks. Bottled without chill filtration at 106 proof, it's a wonderfully mature 29-year-old whiskey.
Buckle up. Bushmills Single Malt Whiskey 16 year old is is truly one of the great whiskeys of the world. Aged for about 15 years in a combination of Oloroso Sherry and bourbon-seasoned casks, and then finished for about 9 months in port wine pipes (large barrels unique to making port wine.) This single malt shows its layers of flavor, juicy fruits, nuts and spice, as well as a hint of ruby redness. It’s best enjoyed neat. Okay, maybe one small cube of ice to open it up.
Aged for a minimum of 16 years in a combination of Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon seasoned casks, then finished for several months in Port Wine barrels, BUSHMILLS 16 Year Old is a unique maturation which imparts distinct notes of juicy fruits, nuts and spice, as well as a hint of ruby redness.
Now available for the first time in America, the Bushmills 12 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey is a full-bodied, deep amber whiskey that is both complex and approachable. The whiskey is triple-distilled from 100% malted barley and matured for a minimum of 11 years in former sherry casks and bourbon casks, before combining and finishing for 6-9 months in Marsala wine casks, creating a whiskey rich in dried fruit and nut flavors.
Inspired by the "Peaky Blinders" TV series and based on an original recipe from the early 1900s, Bushmills Peaky Blinders Prohibition Recipe Irish Whiskey has fragrant hints of toffee, sage, and citrus and subtle notes of leather. This blended whiskey is capped with a rich amber hue and has a sweet taste with a smooth finish.

Awarded ‘Best Irish Single Malt 2013’ and a rare 96 points from Whisky Advocate, it has huge depth that interweaves dried fruit flavors with spicy, aromatic maltiness, subtle nutty raisin notes, and a rich finish that seemingly never ends.
